Wholesome Granola

This wholesome granola has been a staple in our home for years. The best part about it is the flexibility, you can create your own version, but switching out the nuts or seeds for a preferred choice or to use up what you have at home.

Ingredients:
Four cups oats
One cup crushed hazelnut
One cup desiccated coconut
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup coconut oil
¼ honey

Bowl of wholesome granola

Method:

Combine all dry ingredients.

Gentle warm the coconut oil and honey in a pan.

Remove from heat and combine with dry ingredients, mix well.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Spread the mixture evenly onto the tray.

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees until golden brown (8-10 mins).

Remove from oven a gently stir together whilst hot, and then let it cool.

Store in an airtight container
